Galaxy S10 5G available for preorder with Verizon
There are exactly three weeks left until the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G officially goes on sale. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer’s first 5G device will hit the shelves on May 16. Naturally, those who would really like to have it can preorder the handset. Verizon users can already do this, starting today. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is also available for preorder on Samsung’s website. At this point, customers can only opt for the Verizon option but several other options will become available for purchase in only a few weeks.
The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is $1,300. This is not a small price to pay for a smartphone, but at least users will get a powerful handset for this amount of money. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G loos more like the Galaxy Note 9 did, not like the previous S series devices. The most impressive change in design consists of the fact that there is no camera notch anymore. Instead, Samsung opted to place the front-facing camera in the right upper corner of the screen. Some people love the new design, others hate it, but everyone has to admit that this is something we haven’t seen in any other Samsung handset before.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G might look nice but this isn’t its main attraction. The 6.7-inch device comes to the US with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset on board, paired with 256 or 512 GB internal storage and 8GB of RAM. The handset doesn’t offer users the possibility to further expand the storage of the device, so everyone should choose wisely when purchasing the smartphone. Of course, 256GB of internal storage should be more than enough for the majority of users.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G comes with a number of cameras that promise to capture beautiful and clear images and a huge, 4,500mAh battery that should ensure a nice battery life for the handset. Of course, what really differentiates the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G from other Samsugn smartphones, besides the latest-generation chipset, that wasn’t available until this year, is the fact that it is the company’s first 5G capable smartphone. Other companies also started announcing and launching 5G smartphone models, so we will see more of these in the near future, that’s for sure.
As it was already mentioned, the starting price of the Galaxy S10 5G is $1,300. For this price, users will get the 256GB variant, and those who opt for doubling the storage will pay an extra $100. Those who preorder the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G on Verizon these days can choose between “crown silver” or “majestic black” color variants. They will also get a VIP it for the sum, which includes the wireless Galaxy buds, a wireless battery pack, and a water bottle.
