Honor V30 Pro with dual punch holes coming next month
Honor is reportedly planning on launching a 5G smartphone in November. It will be the Honor V30 Pro and judging by the promo images, it will have a playful look, just like the Honor 20 Lite that launches tomorrow. The combination of pink and blue might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but hopefully, the upcoming V30 Pro will also become available in other color options. Apart from the color, everything about the handset is pretty serious. At the same time, Honor will probably launch the base V30 also, however, this will only offer 4G connectivity, not 5G as the Pro model will reportedly do.
According to rumors, the Honor V30 Pro and the Honor V30 will sport Kirin 990 chipsets. In the case of the Pro version, it will be the Kirin 990 5G, but the base model is going to be just as powerful. The screens of the two upcoming handsets will also be different. While the V30 Pro will reportedly sport an OLED display with dual punch holes, the Honor V30 will come with an LCD screen and a single punch hole. The main camera of the V30 Pro is rumored to be a 60MP one. It’s not quite clear yet whether the Huawei subsidiary will equip its base model with the same camera or not.
None of the upcoming Honor devices will feature really fast charging. The Honor V30 Pro is going to support 40W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, while the base model will only support 22.5W wired charging and users won’t be able to charge it wirelessly. There is no information regarding the size of their batteries. If they are large enough the fast charging support might prove to be insignificant after all. The V30-series devices will probably come with a number of new features too and they promise to be quite interesting, given the fact that Honor President Zhao Ming stated that the Honor V30 Pro will target young crowds. There will be no Google Play Services, so Honor should come up with something really interesting in order to compensate for this.
