Huawei Mate 30 Series to Launch in Munich on September 19
Huawei might have had its share of problems this year, but this doesnțt stop the company from launching new handsets. The Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones are next in line and now we finally have an official launch date for them. Huawei recently disclosed the fact that the new handsets will officially launch on September 19, in Munich, Germany. Besides the launch date, the teaser also suggests some new features we will first see in the Huawei Mate 30 Series, like the circular camera setup on the back of the handsets. This feature surfaced as a rumor a while back, so itțs not necessarily surprising, but it is always nice to have confirmation.
Surprisingly, there is not too much concrete info regarding the specs of the smartphones available yet. Of course, this doesn’t mean that we can’t even imagine what the new handsets will be like. For starters, it is highly likely that the new devices will have the brand new Kirin 990 chipset under their hood. The chipset was not officially announced yet, but it’s safe to assume that the Huawei Mate 30 series handsets will be the first ones to use them. Besides the new chipset, a 6.7-inch OLED screen for the Mate 30 Pro was also hinted towards recently. One of the most exciting rumors spoke about up to 55W charging too.
Camera-wise, we expect the new Huawei Mate 30 Pro to sport two 40MP sensors, and a third, auxiliary sensor. It’s not quite clear what the front-facing camera will be like. The upcoming Huawei Enjoy series smartphones will reportedly feature pop-up selfie cameras, we might see something similar in the Mate 30 series too. In-display fingerprint screen is also a possibility. It’s really unlikely that Huawei will manage to keep the specs and features of its upcoming smartphones a secret until the big launch event. We will most likely hear a lot more about the devices in the next couple of weeks.
