LG 8K OLED TV soon available for preorder
It seems like it’s only been a few years since HD-ready TVs surfaced, yet, LG already delivered its 8K OLED device which will blow people’s minds and bank accounts alike. The LG 8K OLED TV is the world’s first device of this kind, however, there are other major electronics manufacturers who offer at least one model with this resolution, only not with an OLED display. Yes, we are thinking of the 85-inch Samsung 8K TV. A 95-inch model is also coming our way from Samsung, but it still won’t be an OLED one, so LG might win this round for now.
Naturally, like almost everything new in the tech world, the LG 8K OLED TV is not a cheap gadget. LG is soon starting accepting preorders for the astonishing TV, which will sell for no less than 40 million won in the preorder period. This roughly translates into $34,000, so no, it is definitely not cheap. The normal retail price of the gadget is even higher, as LG will reportedly sell its new TV for around $42.000.
Of course, the LG 8K OLED TV impresses with more than just its amazing resolution and the astonishing visual experience it grants. The device is huge, having an 88-inch screen, so those who don’t have a huge living room should probably refrain from spending their lives’ savings on this particular item. The TV set comes with LG’s second-generation Alpha 9 8K intelligent processor. This is able to optimize sound and visuals by using deep learning technology and it also analyzes ambient conditions for the ideal screen brightness. This way, users will always get the best visual experience they could wish for, without needing to tinker with the device too much. The TV takes care of itself and its user.
According to the manufacturing company, the LG 8K OLED TV could come with built-in versions of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa too in certain markets. Right now, it is uncertain which markets the company is thinking of and when this will happen. Due to its price tag, it’s unlikely that there will be long queues in front of LG’s shops, however, it’s highly likely that those who will be willing to spend this much money on a TV will truly appreciate the clear and vivid images the OLED TV will display them.
