New Xiaomi Redmi K20 images confirm triple camera and in-display fingerprint sensor

Xiaomi is going to launch a brand new device tomorrow, the Xiaomi Redmi K20. It’s no surprise that rumors regarding the handset started circulating a while back, as nothing can remain a secret in the tech world anymore. New images leak even now, hours before the unveiling. The latest ones come to confirm several features of the upcoming smartphone, including the triple rear camera setup and the in-display fingerprint sensor. The images clearly show the former, while the fact that the fingerprint sensor does not appear on them confirms the fact that the fingerprint sensor is hidden under the display.

The promotional banners that leaked a few days back showed a device with no camera notch on the front, instead, the Xiaomi Redmi 20 will have a pop-up camera for selfies. This seems to be the new tendency, so there is no real surprise there either. Whether smartphone users will love it or hate it remains to be seen. The most powerful lens on the back of the handset is a 48MP one, however, there is no information as to what the other two lenses will be like. Supposedly, one of them will be a wide-angle lens and the other might be a telephoto one.

While the camera setup and the in-display fingerprint sensor, combined with the design and color variants of the device already make it desirable for many, what goes on under the hood will definitely impress a whole lot of people. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 will reportedly sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. Rumor has it that there will actually be two variants, the Xiaomi Redmi K20, and the K20 Pro. It’s not quite clear yet whether the 8GB + 256GB version will be the Pro and the 6GB + 128GB one will be the regular K20 or there will be other differences between the models too, either way, the device seems to be quite a catch, at least on paper.

It is also notable that the Xiaomi K20 could be the most affordable device coming with the Snapdragon 855 on board. This is certainly an aspect that could easily turn this handset into a very popular one. There are a few hours left until the big launch of the device, so Xiaomi could still impress us even more with some surprise features. Stay tuned and find out everything there is to know about what could be a flagship killer.

To bad this is already DOA in the U.S.

I am going to scoop up on a OnePlus 7 Pro as I already got my wife one and that phone is simply sick for the cost to features list.
