Nokia 7.2 goes on sale starting September 23 in India
Ever since HMD rethought the Nokia brand, we have been receiving some solid, yet affordable devices. The Nokia 7.2 which just launched in India is no exception from the rule. The handset has quite a lot to offer, but it doesn’t cost too much. Of course, there are other smartphone manufacturers that offer nice handsets for good prices, however, the Nokia 7.2 might be one of the best budget-friendly devices on the market right now. Technically, it will only be on the market starting September 23, but that is just around the corner so we will take this model into consideration.
The design of the Nokia 7.2 is not jaw-dropping at all. It is a simple, clean device with a waterdrop camera notch on the front, rather thick bottom bezel, rounded corners, and a circular camera setup on the back, sitting above the fingerprint sensor. There is no in-display fingerprint sensor, but the device compensates with the quality of its cameras. On the front, the selfie camera has a 20MP sensor which is able to snap amazing images. On the back, users will find three sensors, a 48MP main one, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 5MP depth sensor. The Zeiss camera setup never disappointed its users and it probably won’t start now either.
Under the hood, the Nokia 7.2 carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, which is not the company’s best SoC but it is a really powerful mid-range processor. This is paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. The storage is expandable, which starts to become a rather rare feature nowadays. As for the battery, it is a 3,500mAh one, and it supports 10W charging. The handset is an AndroidOne product, so it runs stock Android.
The first market to welcome the Nokia 7.2 is India. There, the smartphone will become available for purchase starting September 23. The starting price of the handset is Rs. 18,599, which roughly translates into $260. For this price, users will get the variant offering 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Those who want the extra 2GB of RAM and opt for the 4GB/64GB variant will pay a little more, but even for this model, the price is around $275.
It’s not clear yet when the Nokia 7.2 will make its debut in other parts of the world. It is definitely coming to the majority of markets and it truly is a smartphone to consider if you are interested in buying a budget-friendly yet reliable device.
