OnePlus 7T smartphones launching globally on October 10

OnePlus made a habit in the last couple of years of launching the more than one handset. This year is no exception, and the company just announced the existence of the OnePlus 7T series devices. OnePlus didn’t only confirm the fact they are working on the new smartphone, we now have an official launch date for them too. According to the company’s website, the global launch event will take place in London on October 10. This will be preceded by the Indian launch event, which is set for September 26. Those who wish to participate at the London launch event can purchase tickets for the event starting September 20.

On the same webpage, OnePlus also shares some of the features and specs of the upcoming OnePlus 7T series devices. The 90Hz display seems to be the main attraction of the smartphones. Besides this, we can expect to see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus on board, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The devices could run Android 10 out of the box. The promotional video also points toward improved camera features, such as clearer low-light images, and better image stabilization.

The teasers constantly refer to the “OnePlus 7T series”. Given the fact that the regular 7 series consisted of the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, we might see the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro launch later this month. Also, it is possible that OnePlus refers to a 4G model and a 5G one, or even three new handsets, the 7T, 7T Pro and 7T Pro 5G. The launch event is only a couple of days away so we will surely find out more about the handsets in the upcoming days. At this point, there is no information regarding the availability or the pricing of the new devices either. Hopefully, the flagship killers will be just as affordable as we like them to be, offering a great deal of power at the same time.
