Oppo Reno Ace is a new flagship killer with a really affordable price tag
Normally, high-grade specs mean a high price tag. However, it seems that this starts to change, at least that is what the Oppo Reno Ace tells us. The handset just launched and it really has a lot to offer, including the fastest charging battery right now, and even so, it remains affordable, having a price tag lower than $500. At this point, the handset only launched in China, but it is safe to assume that it won’t cost a lot more in other markets either when it launches there too.
The Oppo Reno Ace doesn’t only come with a series of great features, it also has a nice, clean, modern design. The 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with its discreet waterdrop notch is really impressive, and the bezels around it are almost inexistent. The body of the device is nicely rounded, and the quad-camera setup on the back is the only thing to interrupt the beautiful coloring of the handset’s case.
Naturally, the good looks would mean nothing if they weren’t completed by amazing specs too. Under the hood of the Oppo Reno Ace, there is a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset with Adreno 640 GPU. Users will be able to choose between three variants. The base model includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, there is another variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage, and the top-tier variant comes with 12GB memory and 256GB internal storage. In case this isn’t enough, users can further expand the storage of the handset by up to 256GB using the shared SIM slot.
One of the main features of the smartphone is its quad-camera setup. This consists of a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP B/W sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The Oppo Reno Ace features dual speakers, and it keeps the 3.5mm audio jack many smartphone users still cherish. The handset’s 4,000mAh battery makes sure that users don’t run out of juice before the end of the day. However, if this happens, the smartphone’s main selling point kicks in. The Oppo Reno Ace supports 65W charging, which is definitely a great feature and it is quite unique at this point.
The Reno Ace will reportedly become available in two color options, Psychedelic Purple and Starry Blue. The base model’s price in China is only
3,199 yuan (~$450). Naturally, as the amount of storage and memory rises, so does the price. Even so, those who opt for the top-tier version will only need to pay 3,799 yuan (~$534), which is truly a low price to pay for everything the smartphone has to offer.
