Oppo Reno with thicker bezels and better selfie camera in the works
The spirits haven’t even settled after the launch of the Oppo Reno which took place two weeks ago and it seems the company is already planning to launch a new device. As the similarities between the Oppo Reno and the new model, codenamed PCDM10 and PCDT10 are pretty visible, the new device might just be the Oppo Reno Plus. The company did not confirm the naming yet, so there is a chance that the official name of the new model will be something else. No matter its name, it seems to be even more interesting than the Oppo Reno and it already surfaced on Teenaa, so we might see it in the near future.
The Oppo Reno Plus reportedly sports an octa-core CPU, maxed out at 2.2 GHz. There is a chance that this is the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset sported by the recently launched Reno, but then again, it would also make sense for the new model to bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 on board instead. As for the memory and storage, it seems it will be exactly what the Reno has to offer. To be more specific, the Oppo Reno Plus includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The obvious differences between what we think is the Oppo Reno Plus and the existing Oppo Reno consists in an upgraded selfie camera, a larger body, and a larger battery. Namely, besides the 48MP+ 5MP combo on the back of the device, the new model will reportedly sport a 32MP selfie snapper. The current Oppo Reno comes with a 16MP selfie camera. While the larger size would normally suggest a larger display too, it seems that this won’t be the case. The model that recently appeared on Teenaa has a 6.4-inch screen, just like the regular Oppo Reno. The battery’s size got a boost too. The Oppo Reno Plus will reportedly come with a 3,950mAh energy pack, while the regular model only offers a 3,765mAh battery.
It’s not quite clear yet when the new model will launch and what it’s exact name is going to be. Oppo might also be working on different models too, we just have to wait and see what the company is going to deliver next.
