Samsung Galaxy A20s with SD chipset and triple camera launched in India
Samsung’s flagship smartphones are definitely the ones we would all like to own. Even so, the company delivers a series of budget-friendly handsets that are more appropriate for the majority of smartphone users. The latest ones to join the lineup in the Indian market is the Samsung Galaxy A20s, which brings some improvements over the Galaxy A20 but still remains an affordable gadget. The A20s previously launched in Malaysia and it will hopefully reach other markets too in the near future. The price tag is similar in both markets, so it’s highly likely that the handset will sell for around $170 in other markets too.
Instead of the Galaxy A20’s Exynos 7884 chipset, the new model brings along a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. Both chipsets are octa-core ones, however, the Snapdragon SoC is clocked at 1.8GHz. The GPU is also new, in this case, users will find the Adreno 506 on board. The base model of the Samsung Galaxy A20s offers the same 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage as the A20 did, but this time around users can also opt for the variant that includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. In terms of design not much has changed, however, an extra camera lens appeared on the back of the new model.
The Samsung Galaxy A20s doesn’t settle for a dual-camera setup, instead, it adds another lens to the equation. A20s users will be able to take even nicer pictures, as the new model features a 13MP wide lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. As a comparison, the A20 only featured a 13MP wide lens and a 5MP ultra-wide sensor. The only thing that makes the Galaxy A20s seem a downgrade from the A20 is the fact that it offers Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity instead of the A20’s Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The battery is the same, namely a 4,000mAh one, with 15W charging support.
The new Samsung Galaxy A20s is certainly not a flagship device but it still is a nice budget phone with its 6.5-inch LCD screen, mid-range chipset, and triple camera setup.
