Samsung Galaxy A91 could sport the 108MP camera
Smartphone cameras have come a really long way ever since we’ve first seen them. It seems that this is one of the features that is easiest to improve as every new generation almost doubles the quality of the camera that preceded them. We recently reported that Samsung finalized the works on a 108MP mobile camera. Even though the new sensor will not be first sported by a Samsung smartphone, but a Xiaomi handset, we now have a good hint about what the fist Samsung devise will be to house the new gigantic sensor. According to the latest reports, the Samsung Galaxy A91 that is set to launch in 2020 will sport the 108MP camera.
Even though the Samsung Galaxy A91 will undoubtedly be the star of the Galaxy A-series smartphones with its impressive camera, the other models in the same family will also reportedly get improved cameras. The Galaxy A71, for example, will reportedly rock a 64MP main camera, paired with a 16MP wide-angle sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor, and a ToF sensor with either 2x or 5x Optical Zoom. The A81 will feature a similar camera setup, only with a 48MP main sensor and a 12MP wide-angle lens. The ToF and the telephoto sensors remain the same.
As for the lower-budget handsets, they will also get a new camera setup, consisting of three sensors. They will not be as impressive as the ones on the Samsung Galaxy A91, but they will certainly be quite amazing for budget-friendly smartphones. The A21, A31, and A41 models will sport 8MP wide-angle, 5MP depth sensors, and 13MP, 16MP, and 24MP main sensors, respectively. Overall, all Samsung Galaxy A-series devices will rock seriously impressive camera setups that will be able to capture amazing quality images.
The use of the ToF camera sensor in the case of the Samsung Galaxy A91, A71, and A81 is a little surprising, as up until now we’ve only seen this type of sensors on flagship devices. Hopefully, this won’t turn into a major rise in the prices of the respective models.
