Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 renders leaked, showing off the redesigned tablet and S Pen
Tablets were a lot more popular a few years back, even so, they still are appealing to many users. Samsung didn’t even get to officially announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 yet and renders and real-life images of the gadget already surfaced. The renders come from Android Headlines and they show the device in all its glory, with its redesigned body and S Pen. The new tablet is quite stylish, and it has a groove on the back that is made for housing the S Pen which also got a slight redesign.
Some think that the groove doesn’t only allow users to keep the S Pen there, but it will also allow them to wirelessly charge it there. This piece of information was not confirmed yet but it does make sense for Samsung to make the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 capable of charging its S Pen. The new design of the Pen is not the only change we expect, the accessory will also reportedly be Bluetooth- enabled. While the design changes and improvements to the S Pen are quite impressive already, it seems that the South Korean company did not stop here.
The gadget will reportedly feature a great dual camera setup on the back, probably consisting of a normal sensor and a ToF one. It is also possible that there will be a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP secondary one, not a ToF sensor, but there is no clear information regarding this matter yet, only assumptions. Besides the metal ring that is missing from the S Pen the 3.5mm audio jack also seems to be gone. This might upset some users who are true to their traditional headphones but it definitely isn’t an unusual choice anymore. Just like the Tab S4, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will reportedly feature four speakers, two of which will be set on the top of the device and two of the bottom. Naturally, the USB Type-C port is still there for charging and data transfer.
There is no clear information regarding the fingerprint sensor of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 either. No sensor is visible on the back of the device but this doesn’t mean it is missing altogether. There is a chance that the gadget features an in-display fingerprint sensor as we already know that Samsung does have the technology to deliver such a sensor. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing this based on the leaked renders.
The 10.5-inch mostly metallic Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will most likely not be just another pretty gadget. According to reports, the device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and it will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The gadget will probably run Android Pie out of the box. There is no clear and certain information regarding the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, however, it is safe to assume that the South Korean tech giant will announce the tablet alongside the Galaxy Note 10 which will reportedly launch on August 7. Since there are only a couple of weeks until then, we expect further information to start surfacing in the next days.
