vivo NEX 3 available outside the Asia Pacific region
Even though hundreds of great smartphones launch every year, some of them never get out of their home markets. This could have been the case with the vivo NEX 3 too, as some predicted. Thankfully, it seems that they were all wrong as the handset is now available for pre-order in Ukraine and probably other markets in Europe will follow soon. Usually, the European price of handsets is a little higher than the one in other regions, however, this did not happen with the NEX 3. Those who pre-order the device in Ukraine can get it for UAH17,999, which translates into approximately $715. For comparison, in China, the smartphone costs CNY4,998 (~$707). Depending on the retailer, the price of the vivo NEX 3 can go up to $795 for the same variant in Ukraine, though.
The vivo smartphone that launched back in September has an appealing 6.89-inches waterfall screen which is not disrupted by any notches. Instead, vivo equipped its device with a motorized pop-up selfie camera. On the back of the device, there is a circular camera setup that houses a 64MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto shooter, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. The front-facing camera is a 16MP one, with an LED flashlight. Under the hood of the vivo NEX 3, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC. The handset offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. There is no additional card slot, so users won’t have the possibility to further expand the storage of the device.
Other features of the vivo NEX 3 include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. The handset runs Android 9-based Funtouch 9.1. The device launched in two color variants, Liquid Tianhe and Deep air streamer, both of which look rather elegant. There is no information at this point regarding the next market to welcome the NEX 3. Now that it made it to Europe, it’s highly likely that it will show up in other countries apart from Ukraine too.
