Xiaomi Mi Band 4 to launch on June 11

In the past few years, Xiaomi grew to be quite a popular smartphone and gadget manufacturer. The company delivers devices that have more than decent specs for affordable prices, so gadget lovers really appreciate the Chinese manufacturer. Xiaomi’s next gadget to see the light of day is the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. According to the latest report, the company recently confirmed that the new fitness tracker will officially launch on June 11. Alongside confirming the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4, the company also offered a few details regarding the upcoming gadget on a promotional poster.

According to the poster, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will have a modern, simple design and the gadget will feature a color display. The same poster also reveals that the Chinese company will launch no less than three new devices. Rumors regarding a Xiaomi Mi Band 4 with NFC connection have surfaced a while ago, so that might be the second device, besides the regular fitness tracker. What the third gadget will be, remains to be seen. It’s likely that it will be something totally unrelated to the Mi Band 4, but who knows? Maybe it will be a third variant of the same gadget, with some extra features.

While there still is a week to go until the official launch of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4, a lot of its specs are already known or at least rumored. The color display is a new feature, and it seems that the company also ditched the circular button we’ve seen on previous models in favor of a new capacitive button. The battery of the gadget could also get a boost. According to the latest rumors, the new device will have a 135mAh battery, while its predecessor only offered a 110mAh energy pack. Considering the fact that the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 already had quite a nice battery life, the Mi Band 4 should be downright amazing in this chapter.

Other rumored specs include Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and NFC, which allows users to make wireless payments. Due to these new features, it’s highly likely that the price of the Mi Band 4 will be slightly higher than the one of its predecessor. There is no concrete information regarding the pricing of the upcoming gadget, however, according to some, we could be looking at a 499 yuan price tag which roughly translates into $70. This is the rumored price of the NFC variant, while the base model will certainly cost less.
